PROJECT: BRAND STRATEGY, CONTENT STRATEGY, WEBSITE DESIGN

Venus Healthcare is an independent and well established residential healthcare provider, offering placements in residential care homes, funded by the community social service and the NHS.
The brief was to create a colourful, approachable brand feel different from the norm for care homes. Running alongside the brand work a new website was developed to establish Venus as one of the leading mental healthcare home providers in their area. Venus wanted an upbeat website showing the positive aspects of life inside their homes. This was a large freelance job that included project management, a brand strategy document, a detailed website plan, commissioning photography and a complete re-design of their website.
With three distinctive audiences, the website focuses on collaboration, belonging within the community and empowerment, showing real residents with their carers and showcasing their progress from the start of placement.
Wireframes were created and as well as a sitemap with a flowchart for page linkage. The final designs were put together in Adobe Photoshop and sent to the Venus IT team to do the development. Technical recommendations were made in the website plan and supervision on design and development was given throughout. The website was then tested by several users before the website was launched.
